Lip Balm Gift Box using stampin Up products

I bought this set of 6 small lip balms from B&M they were £2.49, what a bargain! I immediately thought these would make really good table top presents at Christmas so I bought them. The colours also match Stampin Up colours - except I don'y have any yellow - oh well I am sure I will acquire some at some point (not really into yellow at all!)

I made 5 boxes using Emerald Envy, Very Vanilla and Gold, Soft Sky Foil Frenzy, Flirty Flamingo and finally Berry Burst (I did 2 versions of this)

I heat embossed 3 of the lids and decorated them in different ways.  I am really pleased how they have turned out and am sure they will be a hit at my Sibling Christmas Get Together. (They don't read this so the surprise will not be spoiled!)

The box lid:

2 3/4 x 2 3/4 score @ 5/8 on all 4 sides

The box base:

3 3/4 x 3 3/4 score @ 1 3/16 on all 4 sides
My score board goes up in 1/8th so I used my Stampin Trimmer to score these lines.

All score lines were folded and burnished and snipped and notched as per the picture (see video tutorial on YouTube)
The lid was sniped on to opposite sides but the base was rotated to even out the bulk of the cardstock.

I decorated all the boxes slightly differently and even made one lid out of DSP and made it a reinforced lid for added strength.

The box measures 1 1/4 tall and 1 14/16 square.

Ready for the close ups!!??

  1. Thank you for sharing. They are lovely. I’ve made one the lid is a little big. I’m going to downsize the measurements by 16 th and see if it’s better.x

    1. Hi Anthony I think sometimes it differs between different cardstock you use. I hope 1/16 smaller works for you. Thank you 😊 Gez
