I am hopping with the Share It Sunday blog hop. I like this hop because we can share anything. I have been making Christmas cards for friends and family, swaps and for a community project. So I have been making simple cards and also more stepped up cards. Todays card started off very simple and then I decided to add a topper, then I made the topper a bit more fancy.  I then made it in a different colour for a team swap. 

Measurements and Materials

• Card base 
• Half a standard sheet
• 8 1/4" x 5 7/8"
• Score @ 4 1/8" on the long side
• US size card - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2
• Score @ 4 1/4"
• Metric 21cm x 14.5cm
• Score @ 10.5cm 
• Card Ma1 1 -  5 5/8" x 3 7/8"
• US size 5 1/4" x 4"
• Metric 14cm x 10cm

Let's Make Some Vintage Christmas Altered Guest Checks

Welcome to my blog, thank you for joining me today 😀

I had so much fun with this project. I love getting inky and messy, I love Christmas, I love vintage and I love to decoupage. I decided to alter some guest checks, I really love creating with these. I used my recent purchase of Distress Oxide ink &  gesso to create the grungy background. Then I added a paper napkin section to each check, on top of this I added some stamping. The finishing touch was some vintage Christmas images that came from last years December Daily freebies from Tracie Fox. Finally the checks needed to be stuck to card as they are made from extremely thin paper. Then I decided to sew around them. This took quite a long time from start to finish but I enjoyed every moment. I do hope you like them and will watch me create them and maybe make some yourself.
