Stampin Up Masking Thank you Card

Thank you for joining me today, I am bringing you a masking project. This is one of my entries for the team challenge over at Simply Stylish Stampers (Crafty Caroline's team, which I am a member of).

I have used the masks before with the embossing paste but here I am inking through the mask to give a subtle background to the card.

For this card I am using the Whisper White Note Cards. I have used the Mask that mimics the Eastern Palace suite, I sponged Sweet Sugar Plum ink onto the notecard building up the colour. I stamped the Thank You from the Eastern Beauty and used the Stitched Circle framelit die to cut this out. Then I used to dies from Eastern Medallions, I used two together where one does not cut all the way through to give an interesting effect. This was left stuck on the card and finished off with a Glitter Dot.

I love it and I hope my customers like it too :-)

As well as this card those who used my Hostess code also receive some free Stampin' Up products as well as a thank you for shopping with me. I always send out a share of the hostess rewards to my customers to show my appreciation of them choosing me as their demonstrator and shopping with me. If you would like to shop with me then please click on my shop link below and remember to use the hostess code as this is what enables me to get the products for you. However if you are really treating yourself and spending more than £150 then you qualify for your own rewards (10% of the value of your order to spend on anything you like including the exclusive hostess stamp sets)

See you soon

Sale-A-Bration explained

Morning everyone and thank you for joining me today. I am currently away for the new year, I am staying in a lovely wooden cabin in the middle of a forest.  There was snow everywhere when we arrived and after a lovely meal and some bubbly I got in the bubbles of the hot tub! There is something very lovely about sitting in hot bubbly water out side when there is snow all around you and a lovely starry sky to gaze at (not that we actually saw many stars last night as it was a bit cloudy, but that means I have to do it all again tonight!

Anyway enough of that lets get down to Sale-A-Bration! If you have shopped with Stamping' Up before you will be aware of this annual event, if you are new than let me explain. From the beginning of January to the end of March every year Stamping' Up hold Sale-A-Bration it launches at the same time as the new Spring Summer Catalogue. During these 3 months Stamping' Up are giving away amazing FREE products for every £45 you spend (not including P&P) the products that are free are in the special little catalogue called Sale-A-Bration. This year they have added some extra special items that require a £90 spend but these are clearly marked in the  catalogue.

I am not yet allowed to show you these items but if you have shopped with me this year then you will have received one already. If you would like one and a copy of the new Spring Summer catalogue then leave a comment or send me a message and I will get one out to you in the post as soon as I am back from the new year break.

The £45 you spend can be made up of purchases from the new Spring Summer catalogue, the Annual catalogue to the clearance rack, once you order reaches £45 you will be prompted to make your selection from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue. It's that easy to get you hands on some amazing exclusive products FREE!!!!

Gift box using Stampin Up Christmas DSP

Hi and thank you for joining me.  Today is not a Christmas project but it is using Christmas paper. This DSP is going to retire on Jan 2nd as the new catalogue is coming out on Jan 3rd, so it is on 'while stocks last'. I love this DSP as there are some great Christmas papers but also some all year round patterns as well. In this project I show how versatile the papers are.

The box measures 2x2x2 and is a cube. To make it you need a piece of card stock that measure 6x6 and a second pice 1/8th inch smaller so 5 7/8 x 5 7/8.

Each piece of card stock is scored @ 2 inches on all 4 sides.

The DSP to mat on the box is 1 3/4 x 1 3/4 - you need 5 of these squares.

I made the box in Cherry Cobbler

I used the black and white DSP and coloured the white with Cherry cobbler ink. I used a brayer to colour it but you could also use the Stamping Blends.

I made a bow with the Bow Builder Punch out of Cherry Cobbler card stock.

I really ike how it turned out, I hope you do too, see you soon with another project :-)

Masculine Birthday card using embossing paste

Thank you for joining me today when I am sharing my second play with the embossing paste.

Over at the Simply Stylish Stampers (Crafty Carolines Stamping Up Team) we have a challenge for December, the challenge is using masking techniques. So I decided that this was a good excuse to finally use the embossing paste.

For this second attempt I added glitter to the paste to give it some shimmer. I decided not to spread the paste over the whole Dapper Denim card blank to give it extra interest. I used the Diamond shaped Mask and matted a die cut with a Stitched Farmelit square turned on its side to mimic the diamond shape of the background. I used a die from the Eastern Medallions for the sentiment which was taken from Happy Birthday Gorgeous and finished off with the Glitter Gems.

I hope you like this card, see you again soon :-)

Stampin Up Mini Treat Bag Gift Bag Holder

Hi everyone and Merry Christmas, its the big day tomorrow and hopefully you are all prepared but just incase there is those last minute things I have a really quick and easy gift crd holder.  I made these last year for the Christmas Dinner table and they had scratch cards in them, but this is for a gift card.  I have seen those that are made for the credit card sized cards but the ones we bought this year came mounted on a card so were bigger.

  1. So I made the treat bag out of the green and black check from the Merry Little Christmas DSP.
  2. I stamped the sentiment from the Labels to Love stamp set in Cherry Cobbler on Whisper White and punched it out using the Everyday Label punch.
  3. I then punched a second one in black to mat behind and tied the  Quilted Christmas Ribbon around it and tied a bow.
  4. I stuck the sentiment on with dimensionals on the ribbon to hold it in place.
  5. I placed the gift card in the treat bag and then put some shredded red tissue in the top of the bag to match the ribbon and Cherry Cobbler ink

I hope you have a very lovely Christmas and I will see you after the big day :-)

Stamping Up Santa Gift Box

I was so pleased with my snowman gift box that I decided to make it again but this time to look like Santa. It is made in the same way as the snowman but there is no heat embossing involved in this project.

See YouTube Tutorial here!

It is made up of 3 lidded boxes in 3 different sizes.

The bottom box is 4 x 4 x 3
For this box I used Cherry Cobbler  Cardstock  - 10 x 10 - score @ 3 on all 4 sides
For the lid I used Cherry Cobbler Cardstock 6 9/16 x 6 9/16 - score @ 1 1/4 on all 4 sides

The middle box is 3 x 3 x 2 1/2
For this box I used Whisper White Cardstock  - 8 x 8 - score @ 2 1/2 on all 4 sides
For the lid I used Whisper White Cardstock - 5 1/16 x 5 1/16 - score @ 1 on all 4 sides

The top box is 2 x 2 x 2
For this box I used Cherry Cobbler Cardstock  - 6 x 6 - score @ 2 on all 4 sides
For the lid I used Cherry Cobbler Cardstock - 3 9/16 x 3 9/16 - score @ 3/4 on all 4 sides

The top of the Hat is 1 x 1 x 1
For this I used Whisper White Cardstock - 41/2 x 3 - score on the long side @ 1, 2, 3 & 4 - score on the short side @ 1, 2 & 3

Santas face I used the Starburst Punch and the Tree top from the Tree Builder Punch for the beard,  the mouth and nose were the bird wing from the Tree Builder Punch. I used google eyes for his eyes.

For the coat front I cut 2 strips of Whisper White Cardstock  1x3 for the bottom box and 1x1 1/4 for the lid. I punched out 2 buttons. and stuck them on the Whisper White Cardstock strip.

The whole thing was held together with Cherry Cobbler Double-Stitched Ribbon.

I think he is really cute, I hope you like it, see you soon

Stampin Up Embossing Paste Quick Card

Morning everyone and thank you for joining me on a Technique Tuesday!

Today I am playing wth the embossing paste for the first time. I am literally opening it on camera and doing my first card with it. As you will see from the tutorial it really is easy to use, just get some on your palette knife and spread it over the mask and scrape it off. It adds a new dimension to your card, really nice for back ground texture and I love how this mask coordinates with the Eastern Palace suite.

For this card I spread the Embossing Paste onto a mat of Back card stock, let it dry then stamped the sentiment onto Whisper White from Happy Birthday Gorgeous and cut it with a Die from the Eastern Medallions Thinlits, added some Basic Black Shimmer ribbon and some Whisper White Sheer ribbon. A few Black Rhinestones finished it off.

Not bad for a first try - watch this space for more examples!

See you soon :-)

Stampin Up Soft Sayings Card Kit

Hello and thank you for joining me on a Simple Sunday.  Todays project is the Soft Sayings card kit.  There is nothing more simple than a Stampin' Up card kit!

To order click here!
This kit is an 'all inclusive kit' that means everything you need to make 20 stunning cards is included in the kit (it is recommended that you use some liquid glue and maybe some glue dots as well).  You get the card blanks, envelopes, embellishments, ink, stamps and acrylic block as well as some dimensionals. once you have completed the 20 cards you can begin to create your own using the stamps and left over embellishments. Or you can buy a refill kit and do them again.  the refill contained the card blanks, envelopes and embellishments - not the ink, stamps or acrylic block as you already have those.

To order the refill click here!

The kit contains full colour instructions which you can follow or do your own thing. This kit is perfect for the beginner who wants to get started but doesn't know what to buy as you can get started straight away for a small outlay £31.50. It is also perfect for craft addicts like myself who cannot even go away for a weekend with out the need to craft. Thats why I buy the kits, they are small enough to pack when going away to feed my addiction! lol

You make 2 each of 10 different cards, there are sentiments for all occasions plus some flower and leaf stamps. if you do not like a suggested sentiment then chose a different one, it's all up to you.

You will see from the video how easy they are to put together and how stunning they are. Here are some close ups of what I made.

I do hope you enjoyed that, see you soon,

Gez xxx
