My First Junk Journal: Making Envelopes With Hand Stained Paper

Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator

Thank you for visiting my blog, I really do appreciate. I am here with another instalment in my Junk Journal series. Today I am making some mini envelopes and creating coffee dyed effect on my paper with ink and stamps. Such fun, I love getting all inky.

I am really enjoying making my first Junk Journal and so excited to be sharing it with you.  I take you through the process from start to finish ...not that it is finished yet of course! It is a work in progress and I hope you will join me. I have made mistakes and I have learned from them and I have enjoyed every minute.

If you missed the beginning episode 1 you can view it here :-) I will be doing this every Wednesday so do subscribe to not miss any. I have created a playlist on my YouTube channel so you can easily find all my tutorials in this series.

Measurements and Materials

I normally give you the measurements of my projects, but for this project this will not always be possible as it is often not precise as it involves ripping paper!

The signatures in this Junk Journal are me using A4 sheets folded in half to make an A5 sized journal.

  • The video tutorial shows you how I created the coffee dyed effect with ink and stamps
  • I straightened the copy paper with old book pages
  • I used a mini envelope as a template to create the envelopes
  • I made the faux envelopes by cutting the left over strip to 3" then in half
  • So I made 2 faux envelopes
  • I also used the envelope punch board to make envelopes
  • I created the folder by folding a rectangle in half and added some off cuts as pockets
  • I did n't use precise measurements such is the joy of this type of crafting and I am loving it

Now watch the video tutorial to see how this was made :-)
