Heat Embossed Wedding card: How to rectify mistakes!

I cannot believe that I took 3 goes before this went right ... well almost! When I did this card in practice it was perfect - oh well at least you got to see how to rectify mistakes because we all make them don't we?!

To watch the YouTube tutorial click here!

I used some Extra Thick Whisper White as my base - A4 cut in half and scored in half
I cut a mat in Silver card stock just 1/8" smaller on each side
I cut some standard Whisper White 1/8" small on each side again

I wanted the layers to have a very small margin.

I also wanted the card to be quite simple, this big rose stamp just makes a card on its own I think.   heat embossing just finishes it off perfectly - well when it goes right that is!

I chose to make this a wedding card but it could also easily be a birthday card, anniversary, thank you - any occasion really.

Tips to get this right
1. Measure your yardstick properly
2. Get an embossing buddy so you do not get stray flecks
3. Hold the card stock when heating it up so you do not accidentally rub off the embossing powder
4. Invest in an embossing pen!
5. Don't panic!
