Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator
Thank you for visiting my blog, I really do appreciate it. I am hopping with the Stamping Inkspirations blog hop and our theme this month is Lifetime Celebrations. I was trying to think of what to make and I remembered it was my son's 30th birthday later this month , I have already made his card and have shared that in a previous blog hop. Then I started thinking about his 18th. Not being one for big parties we thought a trip to New York would be nice instead. Don't get me wrong it was going to be our family holiday but just a nicer location than normal! Due to a mix up with the initial booking we ended up taking the holiday at Christmas. New York at Christmas is very cold and there is snow and the kids ice skated on the lake in Central Park. It was a truly amazing holiday. The birthday boy was a bit miffed that he was not allowed to drink though as it is 21 in the US unlike the UK where it is 18! Did make his dad & I laugh a lot ... we can be so cruel lol!
So the sentiment Happy Holiday has a dual role here, it stands for the holiday we took but also Christmas. The penguins are there because it was so so cold!
Measurements and Materials
- Card base Thick Basic White
- 5 1/2" x 8 1/4"
- Score @ 4 1/8" on the long side
- The base was cut down to 5 1/2" so the dies matted nicely as they are designed for US size card stock
- Basic Black card stock cut with the largest Scallop Contour Die
- Basic White cut with the next size Scallop Contour Die
- Penguins made using the Penguin Builder punch
- Sentiment from the Poinsettia Petals stamp set
