Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator
Thank you for visiting my blog, I really do appreciate it. This week as part of my Junk Journal series I am making a soft fabric cover for my second Junk Journal. I have decided that this will be a single signature journal I have been buying some great offcuts and scarfs from charity shops so have some lovely pieces to chose from. I ended up looking in my wardrobe and found a beautiful skirt i had not worn for decides that was the perfect share to use with the fabric and lace trims I had bought from charity shops.
Measurements & Materials
- I have used half a jiffy bag envelope for this cover
- This give a lovely padded cover with a great feel and crinkle sound
- I covered both sides of the envelope in fabric
- Inside edge was covered in sari silk
- Book closure is a simple wrap of sari silk
- Fabric pockets added to inside of front and back covers
- The cover if a wrap around so I ad 2 spines to decorate
- I used some fabric from an old skirt of mine, lace trim and ribbon from the skirt
- I used my new sewing machine to sew all the edges of the cover and pockets
