Ink Stamp Share Special Blog Hop: Anything Goes

Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator

Thank you for visiting my blog, I really do appreciate it. Today I am really busy as I am taking part in 3 blog hops and here is the second one. The Special blog hop with Ink Stamp Share and the theme is anything goes. SO I have spent quite a bit of lockdown sorting out my craft stash and trying to get some order into my room so have been enjoying making some crafty storage. So today I bring you some ribbon storage.  I was inspired by my teammate Heather of Nellies Hobbies, who made a basket the other week and she noticed that the base was the perfect size for a ribbon trio pack. I was watching Heather's video and thought genius, I am making some of them. I have made mine from card stock and matted it so it is robust.

Measurements and Materials

  • Base of storage, I used the card that comes with a pack of DSP but thick whisper white would work or even standard Whisper White as so many layers are used it would be strong enough
    • 6" x 6"
    • Score @ 2" on all 4 sides
  • Mats to decorate
    • Blackberry bliss
      • 3 1/2" x 2 1/2" (x2 for each side)
      • 1 7/8" x 1 7/8" (x2 for the front and back)
    • Whisper White hands stamped
      • 3 1/4" x 3 3/8" (x2 for each side)
      • 1 3/4" x 1 3/4" (x2 for the front and back)
  • To share the sides - you may want to watch the video for this bit!
    • Blackberry Bliss side mats
      • On one of the long sides mark @ 1 3/4"
      • On the other long side mark @ 7/8" from each end
      • On the short sides mark 11/16" from the end that has only one mark
      • Now cut from one mark to another to make a pentagon shape
    • Stamped Whisper White mat
      • On one of the long sides mark @ 1 5/8"
      • On the other long side mark @ 7/8" from each end
      • On the short sides mark 5/8" from the end that has only one mark
      • Now cut from one mark to another to make a pentagon shape
  • I only did this once and then cut a template from chipboard so I could use this for future ribbon boxes, I have made a few now! As my ribbon collection grows I will make more.
  • No more ribbon falling over on my rack

Now watch the video tutorial to see how this was made :-)

  1. Such a great idea - I am always tossing my ribbon into a basket and then having to dump it out to see the ribbons. This allows you to see them without making a mess - LOL- TFS!
