Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator
Thank you for visiting my blog, I really do appreciate it and hope you like the project and will take a look at the video tutorial as well. Remember my gift box for a whole box of Slimming World HiFi bars I made last week? I said I was working on a gift box for a single bar, well here it is. I have seen this box design done quite often in different sizes so I went hunting for how to do it and I found The Paper Pixie's tutorial on YouTube and she credited Mixed Up Crafts. I will link the videos at the end of the blog post.
So after several attempts I came up with this design, I do hope you like it.
Measurements and Materials
- Seaside Spray card stock 6" x 4"
- Score on the long side @ 1/2" - 1 1/4" - 4 3/4" - 5 1/2"
- Score on the short side, only on the middle section @ 1/2" - 1 1/4" - 2 1/4" - 3"
- Score again on the short side, with the vertical 1/2' score line to the right, only score to the horizontal 1/2" score line @ 1 3/8" - 3 1/8"
- Flip the cardstock and repeat
- Score diagonal lines from the end of these lines to the top of each of the larger score lines - see template and video tutorial
- To make the crimped effect score every 1/8" at each short end of the cardstock but only to the 1/2" score line
- Panels to decorate the box, 2 of each size.
- Whisper White card Stock 3 3/8" x 7/8" and 3 3/8" x 5/8"
- Designer Series Paper 3 1/4" x 3/4" and 3 1/4" x 1/2"
- To decorate I cut the word 'hooray' from Well Written die, once in Whisper White and once in Seaside Spray
Template
The template shows the score lines.
