Floating Frame Press N Seal Technique

Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator

Thank you for visiting my blog, I really do appreciate it and hope you like the project and will take a look at the video tutorial as well.  Ever since I saw Kylie Bertucci's husband on YouTube do the floating frame technique I have wanted to do it, but I needed a product not easily available in the UK. Well a trip to the US and I got myself some so I couldn't wait to get back to my craft room and give it a try.

I love the result but it was a bit time consuming applying and then taking the backing off all those dimentionals. My top tip is chose a large die, my first attempt I used a die with very small surface area so needed to cut even the mini dimensionals!

Measurements and Materials

  • Press N Seal that I bought on my holiday
  • Thick Very Vanilla for the card base
    • 8 1/4" x 5 7/8"
    • Folded size 4 1/8" x 5 7/8"
  • Vary Vanilla card stock for the flower stamping
  • The small and large flowers were stamped in both Merry Merlot and Cherry Cobbler
  • These were then die cut
  • I also die cut the leaf die from the set with Mossy Meadow and Garden Green
  • The frame was created with the largest oval die
  • The sentiment for the Christmas card was stamped in Mossy Meadow and cut out with an oval die
  • This was matted with a scallop oval cut from Merry Merlot
  • The congratulations card was stamped with Merry Merlot and cut with the smallest Stitched Rectangle.

Now watch the video tutorial to see how this was made :-)
