Pootlers New Catalogue Blog Hop: Desk Top Adhesive Storage

Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator

Thank you for visiting my blog, I am really excited to be taking part in the New Catalogue Pootlers Blog Hop. Pootlers is the name for Sam Hammond Donalds (Pootles) team. I love being part of this amazing team and I love it when we get together to do these blog hops. Everyone is using new products from the Stampin' Up! 2019-2020 Annual Catalogue. I am sure you will love everyones projects.

If you follow me you will know that I have been making desk top crafty storage, I have made one for the larger packets of dies, embellishments and embossing folders, well now I have done one for all my adhesive. I do hope you like it, I love it and it is designed to exactly hold my Stampin' Up! adhesive and a few other essentials.

Nigezza Creates Pootlers New Catalogue Blog Hop: Desk Top Adhesive Storage using Stampin' Up! Follow Your Art

Measurements and Materials

I have used card stock, the new Follow Your Art Designer Series Paper and one die from the new coordinating Die set Arts and Crafts. There are lots of measurements for this project but it is fun to make and once all the pieces are cut it takes about an hour to put together.

I made all the inner parts in Thick Whisper White but while making it I thought that it may have been better if I have used the same colour card stock as the one I used to cover the outside with.

The storage sections

Back Section

  • Thick Whisper White card stock 6 1/2" x 6 1/2"
    • Score @ 1" on either end of one side
    • Rotate a 1/4 turn
    • Score @ 2 1/2" - 3 1/2"

Middle Section

  • Thick Whisper White card stock 6 1/2" x 5 1/2"
    • Score on the Long side @ 1" on either end of one side
    • Score on the Short side @ 2" - 3"

Front Section

  • Thick Whisper White card stock 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"
    • Score on the Long side @ 2" on either end of one side
    • Score on the Short side @ 1 1/2" - 3 1/2"

Divider for the Middle Section

  • Thick Whisper White card stock 3" x 6" (but shave about 1/16" off each side)
    • Score on the Long side @ 1" - 3" - 5"
    • Score on the Short side @ 1" on either end of one side

Tombow Glue Holder

  • Thick Whisper White card stock 5" x 6" (but shave about 1/16" off each side)
    • Score @ 1 1/2" on all four sides

First Mat Costal Cabana card stock

  • Back 4 1/2" x 3"
  • Front 4 1/2" x 1 1/2"
  • Bottom 4" x 4 1/2"
  • Sides (2 or these) 4" x 3"
    • Mark 1 1/2" on the bottom of one short side
    • Draw a diagonal line to the opposite top corner
    • Cut along this line
    • repeat for the other side
  • Add about 1/16" to each measure to allow for the joins
    • Every card stocks differs slightly and there is human error so you may need to adjust slightly

Second Mat Pacific Point card stock

  • Back 4 1/4" x 2 3/4"
  • Front 4 1/4" x 1 1/4"
  • Sides (2 or these) 3 3/4" x 2 3/4"
    • Mark 1 1/4" on the bottom of one short side
    • Mark 1/4" down from the top of the opposite short side
    • Draw a diagonal line between these marks
    • Cut along this line
    • repeat for the other side

Designer Series Paper Mat - Follow Your Art

  • Back 4" x 2 1/2"
  • Front 4" x 1"
  • Sides (2 or these) 3 1/2" x 2 1/2"
    • Mark 1" on the bottom of one short side
    • Mark 1/4" down from the top of the opposite short side
    • Draw a diagonal line between these marks
    • Cut along this line
    • Repeat for the other side remembering to do the mirror image because it is being stuck to each side of the storage

Decoration in Costal Cabana Card Stock

  • Cut 4 borders of buttons using the Arts and Crafts Die set

Make the whole for the glue holder

  • Use the smallest stitched Circle die to cut a hole in the centre of the middle square after you score the card stock
  • From a scrap of Whisper White card stock Make a square 1 7/8" x 1 7/8"
  • Punch a 1 3/8" scallop circle from the centre of this circle
