Today I am bringing you the tutorial for the quick easy journaling cards I made for the Ink. Stamp. Share. Showcase blog hop. Currently I am making ephemera for a Flower Fairy journal. I just loved these books as a child and have wanted to make a journal with the beautiful flower fairy pictures from a second hand book I found. I love how I can find Stampin' Up! colours to match the fairies so have used the colour family DSP to make quick easy journalling cards. The DSP even has lines on it so easy to journal on. I have also used some of my favourite stamp sets and ink to give it a vintage look. Bright and colourful but still a bit vintage.
Measurements and Materials
- There is not really any precise measurements
- I just used a ruler to rip around the image from the book page, they were not all the same size
- I cut the DSP to give me a nice border all the way round - about 1/4"
- I inked the edges and used my blending brushes to age the picture and the DSP a bit
- Added some stamping and they were done.
- Quick, easy and simple
