I know that many people find it hard to get their hands on vintage books. I am very fortunate to have amazing charity shops near me that are always well stocked with real vintage ephemera and books. So after stumbling across this beautiful modern book I decided to share with you the book and some bits I have made with it. I just want to encourage you to look at modern books as they can actually be a great addition to a journal. This particular book have many beautiful textiles, wall paper and ceramics in it and all of them just stunning. Some of the pages a very shiny but some are matt and there are even vellum pages. It was the vellum I was really interested in.
I have made a video showing how I take the book apart and the first things I made with it. There will be further videos using this book in the future. I am using this idea of using book pages as the challenge this week in the group Junk Journalling For Everyone. So grab those book pages and get making and if you have a modern book all the better.
