Stampin Up Advent #6 Christmas Tags

Hi everyone and thank you for jining me on the penultimate advent project - don't you just love to word penultimate?! There are not that many opportunities to use it so when one arises I always make sure I do!

So today is a very quick make, it Christmas tags, I love making special Christmas tags for my presents I think there is something very satisfying about a really lovely wrapped present, its like a Christmas decoration in itself. I think it makes the receiver all the more excited about their present as well.

To make the tags I used punches, the sis what makes them really quick, I layers up the Star Burst Punch and the 2 1/4 Circle punch, using Silver card stock for the circle and Whisper White for the Starburst which was heat embossed with a sentiment and silver embossing powder and then a hole punched in the top and a ribbon attached. See I said it was quick. I used the Oh What Fun stamp set

You could easily stamp a whole page of these and then heat emboss the whole sheet together and then punch out, how incredibly cheap and easy would this be to do for your tags?

The other tag uses the Pretty Label Punch layered onto the Everyday Label Punch, I really like the way this combo looks. I have used some ribbon from last year and as I put the silver away I saw that it was a 2 pack and had some pink glittery ribbon that matched Flirty Famingo so make some pink tags too of the little girly girls in my family :-)

Tomorrow is the last advent project in this series but not the last Christmas project this year! See you tomorrow,

Stampin Up Avent #5 Bottle Tag

So here we are at day 5, have you put your tree up yet? Ours is down from the loft but just laying on the living room floor next to the box of decorations!

So today I am making a tags for wine bottle tags. At this time of year we seem to get invited to friends houses for meals or drinks so obviously we take some wine wth us.  these bottle don't need wrapping as they are being taken to drink there and then. So how nice would it be to have a little label on them.

Measurements:

Tag: 5 7/8 x 2 3/8 - score @ 2 on the long side
Mats: 3 5/8 x 2 1/8 and 1 3/4 x 2 1/8

Paper - Merry Little Christmas
Cardstock - Basic Black
Punches - 1 3/8 circle - 2 1/4 circle - Star Burst
Ribbon - retired silver
Stamp set - Oh What Fun

I love how these turned out - you can get loads out of one sheet of A4 - going to be doing loads of socialising this Christmas and New Year so will need a whole sheet! Cheers!

See you again tomorrow :-)

Stampin Up Advent #4 NOEL Concertina Card

Wow I cannot believe we are now over half way through my Advent series, I hope you are enjoying it as much as me :-)

Today is another simple project but it looks more complicated. I love that if you give this card that it may become part of their Christmas decorations! You can change this to use what ever paper and cardstock you have.

You can get 4 out of a 12x12 sheet (not 3 as I say in the video!)

You need:
Strip of Crumb Cake 3x12 score @ 3, 6 & 9
4 mats in Cherry Cobbler 1/4 inch shorter and thinner of each panel 2 3/4 x 2 3/4
DSP Mat (I have used Warmth and Cheer retired DSP that is still on clearance rack) 1/4 inch shorter and thinner of each panel 2 1/4 x 2 1/4
Letters cut from Cherry Cobbler using the Large Letter Dies (totally love these Dies)
Length of ribbon I used some retired Cherry Cobbler.

All components were layers up and stuck down.  It is really quite quick to prep the pieces and could be done as an assembly line to quicken the process. I am certainly going to making more of these. May do XMAS  next and use Whisper White and the Merry Little Christmas DSP, would also look stunning in Your Of Cheer.

I hope you like this, see you tomorrow!

Stampin Up Advent #3 Rudolf Candy Cane

Morning, here we are on day 3 of my advent series, todayI have another Rudolf make, this time using candy canes. I did get inspired by Pinterest, I have been looking for Rudolf ideas for the Guides as they are going for a Rudolf badge and need to make Reindeer things so this is definitely one they will be doing. Its quick, its simple and it has candy and bells!

I took 2 candy canes and wrapped a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock around it, (2 x 2 1/2) using my bones folder to curve the paper first. I secured the Candy Canes with Fast Fuse first and also placed some Real Red ribbon with a small bell on it through the middle of the Candy Canes. The ribbon was about 16 inked long with a knot at the top so tat it could be used to hang the Rudolf from the tree.

The face was simply decorated with googly eyes and a Pearl that had been coloured with Cherry Cobbler Blends pen.

Very quick and simple and it's sure to be a hit with the kids this Christmas, I will be giving some to my sister for her grandchildren who spend Christmas Day with her.

I hope you will join me for tomorrows Advent Project,
Cheers

Stampin Up Advent #2 Rudolf Notebook

Thank you for joining me on day 2 of my week of Advent projects.  Todays project is cute and very quick and easy to make. I bought these A6 notebooks in Home Bargains for less than £1, I thought I could make the cover fancy in some way and they sat in a drawer waiting for some inspiration.  Then as I was looking on Pinterest for some Rudolf things the Guides could make for their Rudolf badge it came to me, I could make the Kraft card cover look like Rudolf.

I had used the Tree Builder punch before for the antlers and obviously googly eyes were required so that just left the nose.  I had received the Honey Comb Balloons as a reward and really did not know what I was going to do with them then it came to me, Rudolf's nose!

Once I had stuck the 3 elements onto the notebook cover I felt it needed something else so I looked at my Christmas stamps and the Oh What Fun was just perfect.

I am really pleased with how it turned out and I am sure the g=Guides will eb=njoy making these for their Rudolf badge as well.

Until tomorrows project.

Stampin Up Advent Project #1 Decorated Clear Teat Box

Hi everyone and welcome to the first project in my advent series.  I am going to be bringing you a project everyday for the next week to kick off the wonderful season of advent. Most of the projects will be quick and easy as none of us have much time right now with all the preparations for the the festive season.

Todays project is using our Clear Treat Boxes

Click here to go to my shop!

These are amazing value - £6.75 for 16 boxes - they measure 2x2x2.

My project is a small gift that would be good as a table top gift, teacher thank you or something little to accompany a gift card if you like people to have a present as well as a gift card. (I know I do)

I bought some scented candles from B&M (UK shop) there were 6 in the pack for £1.99 so this really is a cheap gift! I put some threaded tissue in the box and then just added a belly band.

Measurements:
Crumb Cake Cardstock - 9x2 inches
Merry Little Christmas DSP - 9x1 1/4
Burlap ribbon - aprox 8 inches - Click here to shop!
Quilted Christmas Ribbon - aprox 8 inches - Click here to shop!
