Joy Of Sets December Blog Hop: Christmas

Thank you for visiting my blog, I really do appreciate it. Today I am hopping with Joy Of Sets. Our theme is Christmas but with a twist. It is the music of Christmas and to make a project inspired by our favourite Christmas music. I have chosen my favourite hymn, Silent Night. I have created a night sky with a bit of light shining from the bright star. I loved using the new blending brushes to create this effect. 

Measurements and Materials

• Night Of Navy card base
• 8 1/4" x 5 7/8"
• Score @ 4 1/8" on the long side
• Silver foil mat
• 4 x 5 3/4"
• Whisper White 3 7/8`' x 5 5/8"
• Night of Navy ink was built up on the card mat using the new Blending Brushes
• Letters cut out using the Playful Alphabet dies
• Stars cut using the Stitched Star dies in silver foil

Quite Curvy Thank You Card

Thank you for visiting my blog, I really do appreciate it and hope you like the project and will take a look at the video tutorial as well. I made this card for the Joy Of Sets Blog hop and today as promised I bring you the tutorial. I really enjoyed colouring these little birds to look like real birds, the blends are just wonderful for colouring and they blend so well. 

Measurements and Materials

• Card base in Basic Black
• 8 1/4" x 5 7/8"
• Score @4 1/8" on the long side 
• Card mat Whisper White
• 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"
• Embossed with the Scripty embossing folder 
• Second mat Whisper White cut using the curvy die
• The birds were stamped on scraps of Whisper White and coloured with the blends
• The sentiment was cut out using the Well Written dies

The theme of this blog hop is thankful for you so I have made a thank you card. I make a lot of these cards every month as I have so people I am thankful for.

Spider Trap Card!

Thank you for visiting my blog today. As promised I am here with the tutorial for the card I made for the Joy Of Sets blog hop. The theme this month was Harvest Time.  I googled Harvest time and found out a very interesting fact about spiders at this time of the year. Have you noticed you have lots spiders in your house at the moment? Well thats because they come into your house where it is warm to mate! Are you shivering right now like me?!

In our house like many others I am sure we do the glass and paper trick to get rid of them I use the term 'we' here but actually I mean Ed ...I am standing on a chair shaking! lol

So that is the inspiration for this card, it made me proper chuckle as I was making this!

Measurements and Materials

• Card base is a standard A6 card
• 5 7/8" x 4 1/8"
• Whisper White mat
• 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"
• Embossed with Cobwebs Embossing Folder
• Spider is from Hallows Night Magic
• Die cut shelf is from the matching die set.
• The Mason Jar domes just finish the card off
• Added humour with the sentiment! Well makes me laugh anyway!
