InspireINK September Blog Hop:Sketch Challenge.

Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator

I am always excited about the monthly InspireINK Blog Hop. I almost forgot this month due to the team retreat! This month it is a sketch challenge.

I decided not to make a card but instead use this as a scrapbook layout. I recently make a mini album and have yet to do the photo mats so when I saw this I thought it would be perfect for one of the photo mat layouts.

Measurements

• The mat size is 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" so 2 can be cut from a standard sheet of card stock.
• I used the Circle Tab Punch to create a tab at the top.
• I cut the DSP 3" x 5"
• I used a strip of Whisper White 5 1/4" x 3/4"
• I cut a heart from the Robbon of Hope Die set using Calypso Coral Card Stock

Time for some close ups

I am so pleased to have started this scrapbook, I think I may continue now using sketch challenges as this is a good way to get inspiration. With these photo mats being small it is easier to plan them. Well thats the plan anyway!

Craft Fair Gift Box for Narrow Note Cards Using Dashing Along DSP

Thank you for returning today to see the gift box I made for the notecards I shared on Tuesday. I hope you liked the project and will give it a go. If you do I would love to see what you have made. Todays project is the sweet little gift box that holds the narrow notecards, of course you could just make the gift box for something else!

Materials and Measurements

Product List

• Dashing Along Designer Series Paper
• 2" x 4 3/4"
• Whisper White A4 Card Stock
• Top of box mat 4 7/8" x 2 7/8"
• Long side of box (2 required) 4 7/8" x 5/8"
• Short side of box (2 required) 2 7/8" x 5/8"
• Scraps for the sentiment and the daisy 
• Cherry Cobbler A4 Card Stock
• Box base on both boxes 6 15/16" x 4 15/16"
• Score @ 1" on all 4 sides
• Box lid on Daisy box 6 1/2" x 4 1/2"
• Score @ 3/4" on all 4 sides
• Scrap to mat sentiment
• Garden Green A4 Card Stock
• For the Lid of the masculine box 6 1/2" x 4 1/2"
• Score @ 3/4" on all 4 sides
• Scrap to mat sentiment
• Garden Green Classic Stampin' Pad
• To stamp the sentiment
• If you watch the video you will see that I actually use a Stampin' Write Marker because I do not yet have the stamp pad!
• Cherry Cobbler Classic Stampin' Pad
• To stamp the sentiment, large daisy and small daisies
• Classic Label Punch
• To Punch out the sentiment and the mats for the sentiment
• Daisy Punch
• To punch out 2 daisies for the daisy box
• Petal Palette Clear-Mount Stamp Set
• For the box sentiment
• Daisy Delight Photopolymer Stamp Set
• For the big daisy feature on the daisy box
• Also used the trio of small daisies to decorate the edge of the box lid on the daisy box
• Clear Faceted Gems
• one for the centre of the daisy 
• Rhinestone Basic Jewels
• 3 were randomly placed in the center of the flowers on the DSP

Craft Fair Idea: Narrow Note Cards & Box Using Dashing Along DSP

I am delighted you have joined me today for this project. You have until Saturday 30th September to get the Dashing Along DSP from Stampin' Up! absolutely FREE. Today I am showing how the paper can be used for non Christmas Projects so you can see the versatility of the Paper. I love it :-)

I have made 4 notecards and a matching box (separate tutorial for the box) I think this would be great for craft fairs or make a lovely gift.

Measurements and Materials

Product List

• Whisper White Narrow Note Cards & Envelopes
• These are great little notecards that come in packs of 20
• Note card size 6.4cm x 11.4cm
• In inches - 2 1/2" x 4 1/2"
• I used 4 for this project so you could make 5 boxes of little notecards from one pack, great for craft fairs or gifts.
• Dashing Along Designer Series Paper
• I used one strip - 12" x 2"
• This little strip made all 4 cards so very economical on your paper :-) 
• Cut the strip into 4" x 2" sections 
• Cut one of these in half so you have 4" x 1" strips
• Cut another at 1/2" so you have 4" x 1/2" and 4" x 1 1/2"
• Cut the last one diagonally from corner to corner
• You now have your sections to decorate the cards
• Cherry Cobbler A4 Card Stock
• Used for matting
• I made the mats 1/8" wider and taller than the DSP so there was a very small border
• I did not mat all the DSP, see pictures for guidance 
• Garden Green A4 Card Stock
• Used for matting

• Used for sentiments
• I actually used the Stampin' Write Marker

I have had to speed up section because the camera kept changing how it was filming midway through, so it went randomly into slow motion. I have edited it so it makes sense, oh the joys of technology! lol!
