I am hopping with the Stampin' Dreams blog hop and the theme this month is florals. I have spent the last few weeks making samples for an inspiration station at a team event using the Delicate Desert Suite and one of those sample fits this theme. A gift box with a floral focal point.

Stampin' Dreams February Blog Hop - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator

Welcome to my blog, thank you for joining me today 😀

I am hopping with the Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop and the theme is Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. I love to upcycle and reuse rather than throw away, this is why I love junk journals so much. I have a row of large bags as you enter my craft room and they are all labelled so organising my 'junk' is easy and they are handy for when I want to craft with them. One such bag is cardboard. I save lots of packaging, one such thing is the card from Stampin'  Dimensionals. I have been wanting to do something with these for ages. I am so glad this theme came up as it prompted me to do it. I made a scrappy note pad with lots of my scraps of vintage book pages, this will be very handy when I am making clusters or collaging and it looks nice as well.  I also made a notebook as I am always needing small scraps of paper to make to do lists. I made the pages of the notepad out of junk mail so it is a proper reduce, reuse and recycle project.

Stampin' Dreams February Blog Hop - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Recycling Scrap Project - Making A Handy Notebook

Measurements and Materials

  • Notebook base made from Stampin' Dimensional packaging
    • Score 1/4 from the crease to make a gusset
  • I covered the outside with Dandy Designs DSP
  • I used Alphabet A La Mode to add the 'NOTES' & "SCRAPS"
  • I framed the word with the border die from Blossoming Happiness
  • The Scraps book is vintage scraps for making cluster and collage when I am making my junk journals
  • The notebook is made from junk mail and envelopes
  • I just ruler ripped the right size and glue them in place

Video Tutorial

I will have a video tutorial on my YouTube channel very soon so do look out for that :-)

Stampin' Dreams September Blog Hop - Autumn

Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator

Welcome to my blog, thank you for joining me today 😀

I am hopping with the Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop and our theme this month is Autumn.  When we were experiencing our heat wave I thought id never feel a nip in the air again but yes the weather is definitely on the turn. I do love Autumn, it is probably my favourite season followed by Spring, I don't like being too hop and hate being cold.   The thing I love about Autumn has to be the leaves and how they change colour, just so beautiful to watch. So I have used leaves on my card but I have gone monochrome. I did think about adding colour with my blending brushes but stuck with black & white in the end. The leaves come from the Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper and I cut them out using my Scan N Cut machine. I did worry when I first got it that it may end up being a very expensive dust collector but no I seem to be using it most weeks at least once. I used the Artistic Mix Decorative Masks to create some interest for the sentiment and added some block dots using the new  Pearlized Enamel Effects. To finish off the card I added some scored lines.

Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop - Throwback Thursday

Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator

Welcome to my blog, thank you for joining me today 😀

I am taking part in the Stampin' Dreams August blog hop, the theme this month is Throwback Thursday. SO we were asked to recreate something we did before or case something from before. I have chosen to recreate a one sheet mini album I made in 2018. I really loved how this mini album turned out and have never made it in exactly the same way since. It is important to use a non directional paper so my original idea of using the Wonderful World DSP didn't work as at least one side of each sheet is directional. So I used Rings Of Love instead, I am actually really happy I used the sheet I did.

Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop - Throwback Thursday

Let's make a one sheet mini album with Rings Of Love DSP

Measurements and Materials

  • One sheet of 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
    • It is important to choose a sheet that does not have a directional design on it
    • Score @ 4" & 8"
    • Turn 90⁰
    • Score @ 3" - 3 1/4" - 6 1/4" - 6 1/2" - 9 1/2"
  • Card stock for the photo mats and tags
    • 2 1/4" x3 1/2"
  • Matted Pockets
    • Crushed Curry - 2 15/16" x 2"
    • Soft Suede - 2 3/4" x 1 13/16"
    • DSP - Width the cut off was x 1 9/16"
  • I have a template but the video tutorial will probably be required which will be published on Sunday
