Let's Make A Steampunk Dangle

Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator

Welcome to my blog, thank you for joining me today 😀

I am here with another Steampunk challenge. I am setting challenges every other week in the Facebook Group Junk Journal For Everyone. Throughout October it has been a Steampunk theme. This week I have set the challenge to make a dangle for a journal spine. This was a challenge, I have only ever made one before and that was basically an earring I had!  For this dangle I have used broken jewellery and a broken watch. I do love how the watch face looks. I really am hoping this watch was broken and I have not destroyed one that only needed a new battery!

Let's Make A Mini Spiral Bound Autumn/Fall Journal Part 2

Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator

Welcome to my blog, thank you for joining me today 😀

I am here with part 2 of my mini autumn journal. I am making this for a swap and am very excited to be doing this. I have decided to make it spiral bound because I really enjoyed making on of these and I am interested to see how it looks in a mini version.

I have filmed the process and the tutorials are split into 3 parts.
Part 1 - getting the paper ready and cut up for the journal - Video Here :-)
Part 2 - making the tags and decorating the pockets and pages and adding the binding
Part 3 - the flip through

I will have a play list on my YouTube channel call Mini Autumn/Fall journal so you can find all the videos there once they have all been published.

I have been horning a lovely pack of Stampin' Up! DSP from years ago and this is the perfect project to use it on. I am also using stamps from the current catalogue as well as my favourite retires stamp sets. I love how the stamp pad ink matches the DSP used.

Let's Make A Mini Spiral Bound Autumn/Fall Journal Part 2

Measurements and Materials

  • Cover made from grey board/chip board
    • 3 1/4" X 4 1/4"
  • Designer Series Paper fir front and back cover cut 1/2" bigger all way round - 3 3/4" x 4 3/4"
  • Card stock for the inside of cover 3 1/8" x 4 1/8"
  • Pockets for the inside of covers 3 1/8" x 2"
    • Score @ 1/2" on the short side
    • This gives a fold over at the top of the pocket for strength and decoration
  • Each page in the journal measures 3" x 4"
  • Pockets 2" x 3"
    • Score @ 1/2" on the short side
    • This gives a fold over at the top of the pocket for strength and decoration
  • Flip out pages 4" x 4 1/2"
    • Score @ 1 1/2" on the long side
    • This gives you a 1 1/2" flip which allows for a tab to be added & won't interfere with the spiral binding

Now watch the video tutorial to see how this was made :-)

The Project Share 27th October 2022

Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator

Nigezza Creates Project Share Stampin Up!

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today, it's Thursday so it's time for another Project Share.  Every Thursday I chose a project from 3 of my crafty friends. From the left we have Jill aka Paper Daisy Crafting, Verity aka Inkybutterfly, me and Heather aka Stamp with Nellie.

Heather from Stamp With Nellie

The Project Share 27th October 2022

First up we have Heather. When I fort saw this I thought it was the tomb stone treat boxes from last year, but no Heather has been really clever with the Very Best Trio punch again.

Verity from Inkybutterfly

Next we have Verity. I love the use of colour blending in this card and the embossed hexagons, the combination makes for a very striking card.

You can take a closer look at this project by clicking here :-)

Jill from Paper Daisy Crafting

The Project Share 27th October 2022

Finally we have Jill.  I have gone back in time to find this wonderful Autumnal card. I just love the colours and the use of the leaf charms ... I still have some in my stash!

I hope you like these projects and will go and check out the blog posts. To make sure you don't miss any of my projects why not subscribe to my YouTube channel and subscribe to my newsletter and click the button to follow my blog :-)
