Stampin' Up!® True Gentleman Shirt Gift Card Holder

Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator

Thank you for joining me today for another masculine project using Stampin' Up! True Gentleman Paper. This would go perfectly with the Shirt card I made and make a lovely Fathers Day of birthday card.

Stampin' Up!® True Gentleman Shirt Gift Card Holder by Nigezza Creates

Measurements

  • I used a rectangle of True Gentleman paper measuring 6" x 11"
  • This means you can get 2 from a 12" x 12" sheet
  • This shirt if made slightly differently from the card topper
  • As before the paper is folded in half length ways
  • Then each side is folded to the center line
  • Burnish these creases
  • Choose which end will be the bottom
  • Fold each corner over until it meets the the first fold and burnish

Nigezza Creates Shirt gift card holder

  • The sides were folded back to the center then this section was folded to the back
  • Just the top section was folded and then burnished again
Nigezza Creates Shirt gift card holder

Nigezza Creates Shirt gift card holder

  • The section was then unfolded again and the triangle section oped up by matching the diagonal to the side edge on both sides to form right angles
Nigezza Creates Shirt gift card holder

  • Next fold this section plat and make sure side come out to form the triangular shirt sleeves
Nigezza Creates Shirt gift card holder

  • Fold the other end over to form the collar in the same way as was done for the shirt card
  • Then fold in half and tuck the sleeves section under the collar
  • I then used some Fast Fuse to stick down sections to give it more stability
Stampin' Up!® True Gentleman Shirt Gift Card Holder by Nigezza Creates

Gift card pocket

  • I made a little pocket out of Very Vanilla cardstock to hold a gift card 3" x 2 3/4"
  • I scored @ 1/4" on 3 sides
  • Cut diagonally across the bottom edges
  • Using the Starburst punch I punch a semicircle so the gift card is easier to in and out
  • Apply glue onto outer edge and stick in place
  • I cut a square in Very Vanilla using the largest Stitched Framelit Die
  • This was stuck to the shirt back for a message
Stampin' Up!® True Gentleman Shirt Gift Card Holder by Nigezza Creates

Finishing off

  • I made a tie and a belly band with a greeting
  • For the tie you need a scrap of coordinating paper, you could use the reveres of the paper
  • I used a trip 1" x 5"ish!
  • I scored @ 1/4" & 3/4" on the short side
  • I folder the corners in on one end to the center to form a point
  • I then folder in the scored lines and burnished all folds
  • I trimmed the tie down to just longer than I wanted it and folded a small section over at the top
  • I then wrapped the excess I cut off around the top and glued to form the knot
  • This was then glued in place
  • I then took the Corduroy Ribbon and cut a strip that went around the shirt
  • I used the 'Treat Yourself' sentiment as I thought that was appropriate for a gift card
  • I stamped it onto Very Vanilla and punched out with the 1 3/8" scallop punch
  • I then pUnch a 1 1/2" circle from Night Of Navy
  • The ribbon ends were glued to the top of the Night of Navy circle
  • The sentiment topper was then adhered to this using mini dimensionals

Stampin' Up!® Birthday Memories Balloon Card

Nigezza, AKA Gez, Independent Stampin' Up!® Demonstrator

Hi everyone and thank you for joining me today with a very different project for me. I placed an order with Stampin' Up!® on the very last day of Sale=A-Bration and nose the Birthday Memories DSP as my free gift. I had not been drawn to this suite as I am not particularly enamoured by animal papers but it was FREE so hayho! There are 2 sides to every piece of paper and I do like at least one side so thats fine. I am planning on some 3D projects with the paper but when I saw the balloons on the first sheet I decided to have a go at some Birthday cards. I do not use DSP on my cards very much so this is really out of my comfort zone.

Nigezza Creates Birthday Memories Balloon card

I made 3 cards from half a sheet of 12 x12 paper and each card is a stepped up version of the one before.

Measurements

  • Standard card blank size 5 7/8" x 8 1/4"
  • Folded size 5 7/8" x 4 1/8"
  • 1st mat is 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"
  • 2nd Mat is 5 3/8" x 3 5/8"
  • Of course these sizes can be adjusted for what ever size cardstock you use, mats are 1/4" thinner and shorter.
  • The Sweet Sugarplum card is slightly different and is dictated by how you cut the Balloons out
  • This piece was mated onto Whisper White leaving 1/8" border all the way round
  • This was then mounted onto a Rich Razzleberry mat again leaving 1/8" border all the way round
  • This was then mounted onto Whisper White but the boarder was 1/16" all the way around
  • You can adjust these measurements to suit how you want your cards to look
  • I used the co-ordinating ribbon from this suite 1/4" (6.4 mm) Stitched-Edge Ribbon
  • I used the Happy Birthday from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments
  • I used the Classic Label punch
  • I added a Balloon Honeycomb Embellishment to each card
  • I also added 3 Glitter Enamel Dots
I hope you liked this project, as I said it is not my usual thing but I enjoyed being out of my comfort zone. It was also the first crafting I had done since being on holiday. So why don't you click on the video below and craft alone with me.

To make the tie

  • Sometimes you can use the reverse of the paper to create the tie but I did not like the other side of this paper so I use a different strip
  • Out of a scrap of paper that would compliment the shirt I used the Classic Label punch
  • I punched 1 fully and one half one
  • I wrapped the half one around the top of the label making sure the top triangle was still visible
  • This was then secured with glue and stuck to the shirt
Nigezza Creates True Gentleman shirt card

  • You can add glue to the inside of the shirt to make it more secure if you wish
