I am on a design team

Hi everyone, today I have some really exciting news, I am on a design team!!!

I have been a member of the Facebook group Stampin' for all run by Amanda Charlesworth aka Scrimping Mommy.

Amanda wanted to set up a design team. I was delighted when I became part of that group.  There are 5 of us on the team and it should be up and running in the new year so watch this space. Most of us are Pootlers so we already have regular contact with each other, I am so looking forward to this new venture for the New Year.

Getting ready for the new Spring Summer Catalogue

Morning everyone, I am very excited because the launch of the new Spring Summer Catalogue is nearly here.

As a Stampin Up demonstrator I have had a copy since November and been able to order from it since then as well.  I have been making lots of lovely projects with these new products for you.  I have some really lovely things to show you in the new year. It has been really nice to make things that are not Christmas for a change!

I have been labelling my catalogues ready to send to customers. If you do not have a demonstrator and would like a catalogue please leave a comment, email or text me and I will be happy to send you one free of charge. As a UK demonstrator I am only allowed to send to the UK, France, Germany or the Netherlands.

Stampin Up Snow Christmas Card

Good morning and thank you for joining me on another Festive Fursday - only one more left now until the big day. If you are anything like me then you will not have sent your Christmas cards yet, if like me you make them then you need to get a wiggle on lol!

I hope todays card inspire you to make a few today. I have embossed this snowflake on a card and layered with silver foil card before but I wanted to make this a little different by adding the word SNOW.

To make this card I cut the layers as below - these are my standard way of cutting layers and they give 1/8th border all round.

I used some Extra Thick Whisper White as my base - A4 cut in half and scored in half, this makes a C6 card 5 7/8th x 4 1/8th
I cut a mat in Silver card stock just 1/4" smaller on each side - 5 5/8th x 3 7/8th
I cut some standard Whisper White 1/4" small on each side again -  5 3/8th x 3 5/8th

The Whisper White was embossed with the Winter Wonder embossing folder and the word SNOW was cut out of the silver layer ,to save card stock, using the large letter dies. 

I really like how this has turned out, now I need to get on and make some more!

Bulk Making Christmas Cards

Hi and thank you for joining me today. Its full steam ahead in the Christmas card making session, only 7 days left to get them in the post at second class stamp rate!


As well as my personal Christmas cards I have Christmas cards for customers to make as well as some for an event I do at Easter to let them know that they are not just for Easter that we think of them all year!

I wanted to use Stampin Up products of course and I wanted them to be fairly quick and easy. I also wanted them to be pretty flat so that they would go in ordinary letter post to keep costs down. I remembered I had got the 'Better Together' stamps with has a lovely Christmas greeting that when stamped on top of each other gives a triangular she which is perfect for a Christmas tree.

To make the process really quick I wanted to stamp the 2 sentiment together at the same time, I did have to trim the stamps down a bit as there was too much space between the words.  If you are going to do this, and I know lots of people do, please be careful not to cut the sentiment!

I used the small star punch that has retired now but I keep it for Christmas cards as it is perfect for a star on a Christmas tree, I also used a retired stamp for the pot (I really cannot get rid of my old stamp sets!) For the tree trunk I used a crumb cake marker and just did a flick.

To line up the stamp I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig, I could have used my Tim Holtz Platform but that was already set up for another card so I decided to go back to the old school way!

Right now they are done I'd best et to the post office!

Stampin Up Colourful Seasons Card

Hi and thank you for joining me today on 'Treat Tuesday' - the treat is it is not a Christmas project lol!

It seems like I have been doing Christmas things forever!

I was lucky enough to get this stamp set as a reward from my Upline Caroline (Crafty Caroline Creates) - I recently promoted in Stampin Up and was allowed to make a choice of a stamp set. I had had my eye on this set ever since the catalogue came out but just like everyone I have a budget and tis set always seemed to fall outside that budget each month. It came as part of a bundle so I was not just looking at the set but the whole bundle.  So I chose the stamps and bought the dies myself.

This set is very versatile, it has stamps to suit all seasons and all occasions, I could see the potential not only in all the cards I could make but also for scrapbooking and gift wrap. Also with the loss of the Petite Petals if give a flower and die to add little flowers to projects easily. I love the branch and have already used this as the snowman arms in another project and plan on using them as antlers for Rudolf. The scallop edge would be lovely in a card or scrapbook edge.

As you can see there are both matching dies and coordinating dies that add extra embellishments to your card or scrapbook page.

I cut some standard Whisper White 1/4" small on each side again -  5 3/8th x 3 5/8th

I stamped the Thank You from the Daisy Delight stamp set, then I stamped the 2 step branch and flowers from the Colourful Seasons stamp set. Using Soft Sued for the branch and Powder Pink for the flowers. I stamped some of the small flowers onto a scrap of Whisper White card stock and cut them out using the matching dies.  I also cut some flowers in the Powder Pink card stock. There were then stuck onto the card to give dimension and added pop. 

I hope you liked this project, easily changed from this soft subtle card to a bold statement crd by changing the colours. Berry Burst would look lovely as well.

Stamping Up Snow Flake card

Thank you for joining me on Simple Sunday. It is another Christmas make, a simple card that can easily be made in bulk.

If I was making several of this card I would stamp an entire sheet of A4 and then cut it into 4 mats for a card front. I used the largest snowflake from the Snowflake Sentiments stamp set.

The mat is a normal mat 1/4 inch shorter and thinner than the card base front. The mat allows a ribbon to be added easily.

I used some Extra Thick Whisper White as my base - A4 cut in half and scored in half, this makes a C6 card 5 7/8th x 4 1/8th
I cut a mat in Whisper White card stock just 1/4" smaller on each side - 5 5/8th x 3 7/8th

The sentiment from Snowflake Sentiments was stamped in Versamark and silver embossing powder was applied and heat embossed. This was then cut using the largest oval from the Stitched Framlits.

I love the elegance of this card.
