Nature Theme Set on 23rd July
This was the card I made to start the challenge off, I have used some Stampin' Up! DSP and stamp set to make this new baby card.
Group Entires
The first card is by Gwen Crawford, she used the Natures Poem DSP like me but used Painted Harvest Stamps for the sunflower. I love this set and will be digging it out again after seeing this card. Thank you Gwen for taking part.

This next card is from Valerie Litten, I really love this embossing folder and the layering and the ribbon, it really lifts the card. The way the envelop has been stamped as well gives the card something extra special. Thank you Valerie for taking part.

The next card is by Elaine Spencer. She has created a lovely scene. Beautifully coloured and some intricate fussy cutting to add dimension. You can almost hear the trickling of the water in this one. Really nice Elaine, thank you for joining gin with the challenge.

This next card is by another Design Team member, Karen McClure. Karen wrote a description of what she used so I will let her describe it for you
... Serene garden stamp and dies various tones of green (soft seafoam, garden green, granny apple green) the flowers are calypso coral and the bird is basic grey and calypso coral and then added some glitter accents to the flowers ...
This really is a serene card I just love the soft colour combination, thank you Karen for taking part.

This final card is by Helen Chandler, I really love how the embossed base had been inked to give it this wonderful background to layer the die cuts on. A very summery feel for this amazing summer we are experiencing in the `UK (well apart from the storms and rain we have had over the weekend!) Thank you Helen for taking part.

ReplyDeleteIt is amazing how different everyone's cards are suing the same theme - talented bunch of crafters :-)
DeleteThank you Gez for the Theme challenge, I love to be given a starting point because it saves me going round and round in my head not knowing where to start. Also it helps to focus on what stamp sets might be suitable for a particular theme, sketch etc. The inspiration from your example is also really, really useful as well. I love joining in with these types of card challenges, thank you for giving me the opportunity to do so and keep them coming. :O) xxx
