Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator
I am so glad you joined me today as I am really exited about this project. I wanted to design some projects around using 12" x 6" pieces of Designer Series Paper because I have been running a paper share and this is how I have cut the 12" x 12" sheets.
So I decided to see how many cards I could get from it, so this is a 'Half Sheet Wonder' instead of a OSW! I managed to get 6 cards and could probably have got a 7th as there was still some scraps left.
Materials and Measurements
 Product List
I used 3 colours to mat the DSP layer and the sentiment, these are the colours I chose
I used the matching inks for the card sock I had chosen apart from the pink as I had to substitute due to not having blushing bride!
- Very Vanilla A4 Thick Cardstock
 - Used for the card bases
 - 3 sheets, cut in half and scored in half
 - 8 1/4" x 5 7/8"
 - Folded size
 - 4 1/8" x 5 7/8"
 - Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper
 - Trimmed as per the diagram below
 - Basically 2 card mats were cut that measured
 - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"
 - there was a long strip and a shirt strip left over that I am sure I could have made another card out of!
 - Very Vanilla A4 Card Stock
 - Used to stamp the sentiments onto and die cut
 - I used less than a sheet - I actually used scraps I had

- Mossy Meadow A4 Cardstock
 - Card Stock A4 Blushing Bride
 - Grapefruit Grove A4 Cardstock
 - less than half a sheet of each was used
 - A card mat was cut 1/4 of a standard sheet
 - 4 1/8" x 5 7/8"
 - This was then trimmed slightly when I knew which DSP piece was being matted onto it
 - The other 1/4 sheet was used to die cut out the scallop layers for the sentiments

- Mossy Meadow Classic Stampin' Pad
 - Powder Pink Classic Stampin' Pad
 - Grapefruit Grove Classic Stampin' Pad

- Basket Weave Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder
 - Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder
 - Petal Pair Textured Impressions Embossing Folders

- Powder Pink 3/8" Shimmer Ribbon
 - I think the colour worked well - used on 4 of the cards
 - Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies
 - All sentiments were die cut using which ever shape fitted best
 - Layering Ovals Framelits Dies
 - Layering Circle Framelits Dies
 - I cut scalloped shaped to mat the sentiments

These are the stamp sets I chose to use, but it is down to personal preference which you would like to use.

Time for the close ups!
I do hope you enjoyed that project, I love the Mossy Meadow one and the Blushing Bride one, I am not as keen on the Grapefruit Grove ones but that it probably because I am not as keen on that colour, I like the card composition though.
I would love to hear what you think and which you like the most :-)
I am now thrilled that I have a stock of wedding and anniversary cards.
I wil be back on Sunday with another project, until then ...
Happy Crafting!
