Using My Stampin' Up! Inks & Stamps To Get A Vintage Loo

Nigezza Creates aka Gez, Independent Stampin' Up® Demonstrator

Thank you for visiting my blog, I really do appreciate it. Today I am bringing you the tutorial for the Technique Tuesday blog hop.  This month we are showing techniques of getting the vintage look. This is probably my favourite type of crafting so I was really pleased when I saw this theme. I have used different methods to make different papers look old and vintage.  I use inks and stamps to achieve this. I decided to recreate a card I made in a recent Facebook live and this time make it in a vintage style

Measurements and Materials

  • I used the browns from the Neutrals family and my favourite stamps sets for adding a vintage look
  • Very Versailles
    • The script in this set is perfect
    • There are other images but it is mainly the script that I use
  • Quite Meadow
    • The spray of dots in the set is great for creating age spots
  •  Ink is applied with
    • Blending brushes
    • Sponge daubers
    • Also by dabbing the ink pad on my glass mat and spraying it with water and then dipping the paper into the ink
  • I also used the Timeworn embossing folder and added ink with the blending brush
  • For the card I stamped the flower image using
    • Early Espresso
    • Soft Suede
  • This was to give the image a sepia look which is further enhanced by adding crumb cake with a blending brush and inking the edges of the die cut with Soft Suede ad a sponge dauber
  • Card base
    • Half a standard sheet
    • 8 1/4" x 5 7/8"
    • Score @ 4 1/8" on the long side
    • US size card - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2
    • Score @ 4 1/4"
    • Metric 21cm x 14.5cm
    • Score @ 10.5cm
  • Card Ma1 1 -  5 5/8" x 3 7/8"
    • US size 5 1/4" x 4"
    • Metric 14cm x 10cm
  • Card Mat 2 - 5 3/8" x 3 5/8"
    • US size 5" x 3 3/4"
    • Metric 13.5cm x 9.5cm
